Hi! I'm a bit confused because The Hub randonmly doesn't play The Aquabats! Super Show! at 10 am on Saturdays anymore because they replaced it with a new Transformers show. Do u think there is any hope that they will play it again at a good time?
From what we’ve heard, the show’s been moved to 4:30 am now.
…To be honest, it’s not a good sign. With shrinking seasons, and unusual play times, things are going to be tough. We heard some rather discouraging news as well from an inside source we can’t share a couple of weeks back. But the situation may’ve changed.
At this point, it’s uncertain if the Super Show will get another season on The Hub, but that doesn’t have to mean that the Super Show is over. The Super Show could move to another network and find new life there (Like Futurama did with Comedy Central). It could end up on Netflix. It could continue as a webshow. Who knows!
The Aquabats are a bunch of creative, way rad guys. Things might be tough, and look uncertain, but they’re not gonna give up! They’re gonna try even harder! And a fans, we can’t give up either!
And hey, we have a lot of cool stuff coming up! The upcoming summit, a new album or possibly albums, Toddland’s hinting at new SDCC merch, and the tour we keep hearing about! Plus, it’s the 20th anniversary of the band!
Just. At this point- From a network perspective- Usually slotting something at 4:30 am isn’t a sign for a healthy future for the show. And it’s discouraging, because in response to a huge fan reach-out to the network, they make it harder to watch. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but at this point, I’m feeling a little burned by The Hub.
Pretty much the best thing we can do now is to support the band, with whatever the future may be. I’m just glad we manged to be able to see three seasons on The Hub. Here’s hoping for more content in the future.
We’ll keep our eyes and ears open for any upcoming news
